become a Head Start Parent Involvement Consultant / Staff

Responsible for program planning, oversight, monitoring, reporting and the progress of delivering appropriate family services. Assists with Parent Committees, helping parents to understand roles and responsibilities and working with them to secure community professionals and agencies to speak at parent meetings as well as maintaining community resource information. Hiring Requirements:

  • 18 years of age 
  • a baccalaureate degree, preferably related to one or more of the disciplines they oversee.
  • have training, experience, and skills in assisting the parents of young children in advocating and decision-making for their families
